Each year IBAB takes on board a small group of research assistants who are keen to delve deeper into the realm of biotechnology, bioinformatics or policy research. These research assistants are chosen through a competitive exam and/or a face-to-face interview. The faculty mentor the trainees during their stay with the institute.
