Mr. Darshan C, had developed a gene expression database at IBAB, as part of his doctoral work carried out under the guidance of Prof. Kshitish K Acharya. Later, he developed a cancer-specific gene expression database under the guidance of Dr. Sooryanarayana Varambally, and reported that in Neoplasia in 2017.

Cancer researchers across the globe have found this database (UALCAN) extremely useful!
