Education, Research and Entrepreneurship in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology
IBAB has
moved to its own 20 acre campus in Electronics City with excellent
infrastructure, students' hostel and other amenities. It has recently
added several state of the art facilities to its bioinformatics and
biotechnology laboratories to enhance its training and research
capabilities. IBAB will shortly be hosting a Bio-IT center, a multi
institutional public-private partnership effort under the aegis of
Department of Information Technology, Government of India, and
Department of IT, BT and ST, Government of Karnataka, that will host
cutting edge platforms for genome sequencing and data analysis. The
institute has also initiated its Ph.D. program affiliated to Manipal
University. |

1. IBAB CONVOCATION: Prof. D. Balasubramanian,
Distinguished Chemical Biologist and immediate past
President of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore delivered the
convocation address on July 10 at the IBAB auditorium. |
